Frequently asked questions

Answers on the DinerSites offer: what is included per location, revisions, articles, the AI Engine, hosting, domains, moving your current site and billing.

The offer

What is actually included for a restaurant with more than one location?

Every plan includes one page per location with its own hours, map and menu highlights, a shared menu system so a price or dish updates everywhere it applies, enquiry routing so a form on one location's page reaches that location, the location finder tool, managed hosting, and researched articles. The Route adds the AI Engine and The Full Circuit adds the Content Engine on top of that.

How long until my site is live?

7 days on The Single Counter, 10 on The Route while the AI agents are trained, and 15 on The Full Circuit with the content engine running. The clock starts at the onboarding call, not at purchase, so the sooner the form is in, the sooner every location is live.

What if I only run one location today?

The site is built the same way either way: one location page from day one, on the same system a five-location group uses. If you open a second address next year, adding its page is a revision, not a rebuild, because the structure was already there.

Getting started

What happens straight after I buy?

You fill in the onboarding form and submit it. It asks for your services, your locations, your brand, your domain and where enquiries should land for each address, and it takes about 15 minutes per location plus a shared section for brand-wide details. If something is missing, submit anyway: you can send the rest by email or raise it as a ticket in your client portal, and it will not hold up the build. We then run one onboarding call to fill any gaps and agree the launch date.

What is the client portal?

It is your account with us, and you get it the day your site goes live. From the portal you request revisions for any single location or for the whole brand, raise a support ticket, send us files you still owe us, and message our team directly. Everything to do with your site runs through it, so nothing gets lost in an inbox. You never log in to the website itself; we handle that side.

How do you gather details for several locations at once without it taking forever?

The onboarding form has one shared section for brand-wide details, like your logo and overall tone, and one repeatable section per location for its address, hours and phone number. Most groups with two or three rooms finish in under 45 minutes total. Larger groups can send location details as a spreadsheet instead of typing each one into the form, and we build from that.

Revisions and the client portal

What counts as a revision, and what happens after five?

A revision is any change request you send, and there is no limit on how much goes into one. Updating hours at one location, adding a new dish across the whole menu, or building a page for a location that just opened: each is one revision. So is something much larger. 5 are included every month. After the fifth, each additional revision is a flat $20, with no cap on how many you can buy. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days, whatever the size or however many locations it touches.

How do I request a change to just one location without touching the others?

Raise it in your client portal and name the location. Because each location has its own page, a change to one address's hours or a note about a temporary closure never touches the pages for your other rooms unless you ask for a shared, brand-wide change instead.

Do unused revisions roll over to the next month?

No. Unused revisions do not carry forward. Most groups with two or three locations do not need all five in a quiet month, and the ones running promotions or seasonal menus tend to use every one.

Articles

How do researched articles help a multi-location brand specifically?

A single flagship location can rely on its name. Every other town you operate in needs its own reason to show up in search, and regularly published, researched articles tied to that area and your menu are what builds that over 3 to 5 months. 2 researched articles a week ship on The Single Counter and The Route, and 3 a week on The Full Circuit, each 2,500 to 3,200 words.

Can an article be written for a specific location's town?

Yes. Tell us which town or neighborhood an article should focus on during onboarding or through a revision request, and it is researched and written for that location rather than the brand generically.

The AI Engine

What does the AI Engine actually do for a restaurant with several locations?

On The Route and The Full Circuit, an AI receptionist and site chat answer common questions correctly for the location being asked about: today's hours, whether that room takes reservations, and what is on the shared or location-specific menu. Anything that needs a person, a large party booking, a complaint, a vendor call, is handed off rather than guessed at.

How does the AI know which location it is answering for?

It is trained on the same per-location data your pages use: the address, hours and menu details you gave us in onboarding. A question asked through the downtown location's chat widget is answered using downtown's hours, not the flagship's.

Hosting and management

Is hosting an extra cost, and does it cost more with more locations?

No, to both. Hosting is included in the monthly fee at every tier and never billed separately, and adding a third, fourth or fifth location page does not trigger a new hosting charge. Your site runs on Cloudflare's global network with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth included.

Who is responsible for keeping the site secure and online?

We are. There is no plugin to update, no server to patch, and no uptime monitoring that falls on you. If something needs attention, we handle it as part of the plan.

Domains

Do I have to pay for a domain?

No. One domain is included free for as long as your plan is active, registered in your name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, so you own it outright. If you already have a domain we point it at the new site instead.

Does each location get its own domain, or does everything sit on one site?

Every location lives as its own page under one shared domain by default, which is what keeps the brand consistent and lets shared content update everywhere at once. If a specific location genuinely needs its own separate domain, tell us during onboarding and we can discuss what that involves.

Moving from your current site

We already have a website for one or more locations. What happens to it?

Tell us its address during onboarding. We review what is worth keeping, migrate the content that still matters, and rebuild each location as its own page on the new structure rather than copying the old layout as-is.

Will our old web addresses keep working after we move?

Yes, wherever possible. We set up redirects from your old URLs to their new equivalents so a bookmark or an old search result still lands somewhere correct instead of a dead page.

Billing and cancellation

What do I actually pay, and when?

You pay the monthly fee for the tier you choose up front: $117, $247 plus AI usage, or $597 a month, whether you run one location or five. The $647 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you are satisfied with it. Domain and hosting are inside the monthly figure.

How do I cancel, and how much notice do you need?

Email us and say you want to cancel. Your message must reach us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours, which are 9:00 to 17:00 Central Time, Monday to Friday. A message sent outside those hours counts from the start of the next business day, so a weekend email does not give 2 business days of notice for an invoice due Monday or Tuesday. With valid notice, no further invoice is raised and your site runs to the end of the month you have paid for.

Do you offer refunds?

No. All sales are final, and that includes monthly fees, the build fee, extra revisions and any cost we pass through at what our providers charge us. The one exception is a duplicate or incorrect charge made by our billing: tell us within 30 days and we correct it within 10 working days. The build fee is charged only after you have approved your site, which is exactly why it is not refundable afterwards.
